Wooow!
Here we are again. A year
gone by and faced with yet another one – filled with euphoria excitement,
aspirations, uncertainties etc
And as clichéd as it
may sound, a New Year is here and life just gave us a new shot at it.
A Fresh start, a new
slate, timer reset, hourglass turned ….call it as you may but this is the year
to make IT happen.
Undoubtedly 2016 was
one heck of a year (to state it subtly).
Pheww!! It had a lot
happening it was a struggle to keep up at a point …..But most importantly 2016
turned most of us into believers.
- Jon Snow came back to life and whooped the life out of Ramsey. GOT S06E9!! Take me back!
- Beyonce dished out some good lemonade
- Syrian refugees had us in tears
- Apple bedazzled us with their latest gem - iphone7.
- Samsung! Hmm got us terrified with their "explosives".
- In Ghana, Nana Akuffo Addo schooled us on perseverance & tenacity – congratulations Sir!
- Ghana election humor had some of us in stitches.
- TRUMP! President!
Great year huh! Yeah it
was fantastic!
Yeah a lot went on out
there. Let’s back it up a bit. How was your 2016?
Did you get those goals
accomplished? Complete that building project? Get that new job? Lose weight?
Get that masters degree? Get married?
I will say mine was my
epiphany! My moment of realization!
I wouldn’t say I
chalked a long list of successes (trust me, I had some major flops in there) but
the most valuable lesson learnt last year was BELIEVE.
.…I piloted RdSali,
started this blog, participated in social charity interventions, spoke at
seminars, painted my room.…..yes quite a lot happened with no experience but a
strong will to make it happen.
2016 turned me into a
believer…literally. A believer in myself, in people and in my community. I
found clarity and purpose this year. Clarity regarding my abilities, passion
and aspirations. Purpose in helping people achieve their nutrition goals and
helping the vulnerable in our community.
So I step into this New
Year with my new found belief. A belief that will remain my guiding principle
throughout the 365days ….but I plan to channel it into a worthy aspect of
life….MYSELF.
SELF LOVE is my theme
for 2017.
No, am not narcissistic neither am I selfish.
No, am not narcissistic neither am I selfish.
I am just a human
trying to do right by myself. I strongly believe if I challenge myself - Mentally, Professionally and Health wise I can be in a better position to have
more profound impacts on the people/clients I come in contact with.
So no, it’s not all
about me. It’s about the people out there in need of inspiration to change, to
overcome fear, to challenge themselves, to be healthy in 2017, to fit into that new dress, to reduce to a
size 8, to feed their children better and
to eat nutritious meals.
We are in this
together.
I entreat you to join
me on this journey!
Love yourself so you
can help those around you.
Have a wonderful 2017!
