2017 - A Year of Self Love

Wooow!

Here we are again. A year gone by and faced with yet another one – filled with euphoria excitement, aspirations, uncertainties etc
And as clichéd as it may sound, a New Year is here and life just gave us a new shot at it.

A Fresh start, a new slate, timer reset, hourglass turned ….call it as you may but this is the year to make IT happen.

30days without Junk Food?– Unbelievable Transformations.

Let’s be honest!
Living a healthy lifestyle can be a real struggle

Telling yourself you will start eating healthy this week, getting your gym gear ready for a fitness transformation, signing up at the gym, shopping for a basket full of veggies/fruits/green/tea/wheat etc…

Fast forward a week later…you are back to eating all the processed foods, soda, fried snacks, late night snacks and seeking comfort in the words -“I will start again next week”.
You can relate to this huh?!

Amazing benefits of Virgin Coconut Oil - Dietitian Certified

A quick search on health benefits of Virgin Coconut Oil(VCO) will in a second present 1000 search results pages, many of those article/reports are based on personal experiences as well as myths regarding VCO. Very few of those articles or claims are based on scientific researches or validated by scientific evidence.
As a clinical dietitian I meet  clients on a daily basis with numerous questions concerning the claims of virgin coconut oil: does it really burn fat? is it a super drug? will it help my skin glow? these and many more interesting questions led me on a journey to review articles and researches on VCO.

Kpawumo Childrens Home, Tamale

Hi!  I have been MIA for a while now (A Million apologies). I got an opportunity to join a group of friends (Dietitians) : Brittany Wilson, Terrie Jorgeson, Kena Ludeman to Tamale for a few charity outreaches! A very humbling experience. This was made possible by an incredible humanitarian, Prince Mahama, founder of Savannah Kids Education Project (SKEP) a project, founded with the aim to give underprivileged children in the north of Ghana the possibility to follow primary and secondary education .
